Alistair Downs

Alistair Downs is a highly experienced leader who has founded and led British International Schools across Asia and the Middle East. Following a teaching career in the UK and overseas Alistair took on his first Founding Headship in 2010. Since then he has founded schools in Qatar, China, Thailand and KSA. He is currently leading the rollout of Reigate Grammar School campuses across KSA. Alistair is a qualified schools inspector and regularly leads British Schools Overseas (BSO) inspections for Penta International and Peer Accreditations for the Council of British International Schools (COBIS). He has led his own schools through BSO, CIS, COBIS and ISQM compliance and accreditation, in addition to local accreditations in Asia and the Middle East. He holds a BSc in Geography from Loughborough University, a PGCE from the University of Cambridge, a Masters in Educational Leadership and Management, and has completed the National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH).
