Phil is a best-selling author in education, with both Happiness Factories and Changemakers regularly appearing in discussions around holistic education. A regular conference speaker and workshop facilitator, Phil is passionately focused on helping schools have a genuine impact on the lives of the students within their cohorts. Having worked internationally for over 14 years, leading teams in Kenya, Egypt, the UAE and now Saudi Arabia, Phil regularly supports the development of programmes and provision that aim to build praise driven, positive success within schools and has presented this message around the world at a number of conference events including PHASE Global, BSME, Youth Sport Trust, FOBISEA and others. Phil is a PhD researcher at The University of Northampton, studying the perspectives of International Education through a lense of holistic development. He is also Head of Student Opportunities at BISR, tasked with developing new and innovative ways to enhance the experiences of students within the school and wider afield.

Gamifying Riyadh - The growth of Esports in Schools across the region

Phil will provide a case study of the BISR journey into Esports, working with their Esports partner NES, showcasing the journey and the benefits to students and communities of fully embracing the opportunities that come with an Esports programme within schools. With practical ideas and guidance as to how BISR have engaged with stakeholders to grow this new opportunity, Phil and his guests from the world of Esports, will guide anyone thinking about engaging in their own programme, through the steps.
