MoE annual meet to stress better leadership in schools

DUBAI: The Ministry of Education is organising its third annual conference on Sept.11 in Dubai.

Fawzia Hassan Bin Gharib, Assistant Under-Secretary of Education, announced during a press conference held on Tuesday at the ministry office in Dubai, that the one-day conference is expected to be attended by more than a thousand specialists and others interested in the education sector, in addition to education experts from the Co-operation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf.

She explained that the conference aims to link school leaders with the senior leadership in the ministry to examine new directions and identify the most important ongoing strategic initiatives for the academic year 2013-14.

Enhancement of communications between principals and senior leadership in the ministry actively contributes to the development of the performance of field education leaders, she averred.

This progress was achieved on the basis of scientific and education and acquainting school heads and leadership within the ministry about the educational experiences and developments in the Arab world.

She emphasised that the conference would address the importance of training and sustainable professional development to raise the performance levels of school leadership, which is reflected in the schools’ performances.
