Ambassador Tuula Yrjölä is a distinguished diplomat whose career spans over 30 years both in the service of the Finnish Foreign Ministry, and at the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe OSCE. Her latest position has been as Director of the Conflict Prevention Centre and Deputy Head of the OSCE Secretariat based in Vienna. Finnish as mother tongue, she is fluent in English, with other language skills ranging from French, Swedish, Russian, and German to basic knowledge of Arabic and Tajik. She is member of the Nordic Women Mediators Network and Finnish Mediation Forum. Her hobbies include cooking and Nordic walking as well as swimming. She is a keen concert goer with an interest in bringing together musical artists from different cultural traditions
