Aisha Nekiwala

Head of Co Curricular Activities, Girls School and English Teacher

Misk Schools

At just 27 years old, I've achieved significant milestones as a Middle Leader and English Teacher. After earning all A*s in my A Levels, I started teaching in the UK, where I was promoted within my first year. In three years at an outstanding London Grammar School, I earned a Leadership Award and was nominated for Teacher of the Year for my contributions to student outcomes and staff development. Two years ago, I moved to Saudi Arabia, teaching in both an all-boys and now an all-girls school. These experiences have enhanced my leadership abilities in diverse environments. I am committed to continuous professional growth, having completed the UKs Middle Leadership Course, Cambridge Educational Leadership Programme, COBIS certification, and I am currently pursuing NPQSL. With experience designing schemes of work for Key Stages 3-5, I created internal English Literature exams for the Ministry of Education. As Head of Co-Curricular Activities and in leadership roles like Head of House, I consistently led initiatives that prioritize student well-being and academic success. My teaching is consistently rated as good or outstanding, and I've used research-led strategies to close attainment gaps and mentor colleagues. I introduced initiatives like the UKs No Pens Day to foster engagement. I am dedicated to preparing students to become confident, high-performing learners and future leaders.

Leadership Challenge - Identify a suite of international summer academic programmes for schools
